  1. 1845

    This story would not have been possible without our people who have always been willing to explore new ideas with faith and competence. The story starts with Confectioner Philibert Manuel who lived in the 1790s in Rolle. In 1914 the House Manuel settled in the heart of the city of Lausanne in building Pierreneuve, with spacious cellars. In 1929 the activity of the store grew and evolved
in the light of changes in fashion.

    In 1929 the activity of the store grew and dietetics and drugstore are abandoned in the light of changes in fashion.

  4. 1950

    In 1950 Mr. Rolland Manuel, father of Daniel Manuel launched the wholesale ice cream and frozen products division. The store specialties now included catering, patisserie, confectionery, chocolates, wines, spirits and food specialties. Specialized wholesale in coffee and frozen goods made Manuel earn the coveted exclusive distributorship of frozen food and ice cream for the Nestlé Group.

  5. 1967

    A restaurant / tearoom opened in 1967 in downtown Lausanne and ensured
a growing awareness of Manuel in the region.

  6. 1983

    In 1983 a repository was built
in Crissier to consolidate all activities of storage, production and administration
of the company, including the laboratory manufacture of chocolates still active today with equipment constantly renewed. 
In 1986 Tony Confectionery was launched on the
high street of Bourg.

  7. 2000

    The laboratory Confectionery and Chocolates Crissier, bought in the Millenium was rehabilitated, the production team reformed and branded chocolates were successfully relaunched at Manuel, now producing more than 15 tons per year.

    MANUEL LUXURY CHOCOLATIER CAFÉ Circa 2016.
